We use 100% Arabica beans sourced from sustainable farms across the globe.
Freshly roasted coffee whole coffee beans can last up to a whole year in a sealed package, and one week to a month once opened if stored properly. Ground coffee beans on the other hand have a shorter shelf life and will stay fresh for a few months unopened, but should be consumed within a few days once opened.
To start with, stop buying your coffee from the local grocery store. Coffee has a flavor life and it starts losing it's flavors at 2 weeks. The older the coffee gets the less you will taste the flavor notes and instead you will just get a bitter coffee. Grocery store shelf coffee, generally speaking, is already at it's 2 week mark by the time you buy it.
Also, and very important I might add, is your brewing method. Each bean has flavor notes depending on how it is roasted but also the brewing method determines how much or little you bring out those flavor notes. We suggest brewing with a Pour Over or a French Press to get the most out of your coffee experience.
Shipping items for a business is the same as for an individual, it is not free. There are some very large companies that can ship for free because they can make up the expense somewhere else. Small companies, like us, do not have the luxury of making up the shipping cost in other areas of our business, so we have to charge shipping rates. We get the best rates available but unfortunately, no one can get free shipping from any shipping company, it just depends on if you are a big enough company to absorb the cost or not.
